No evidence it's active, which would be tricky post-split. It's a joint marital asset that will factor into the divorce settlement. I think she does what she can through the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, but I also think it's true she's a lot less active than she used to be and mostly looks for sponsored activities. Like the Guerlain/bees one. |
You can look up it's tax papers...It's active. Brad still contributes. |
I think her fashion shop in NYC was meant to help refugees? But it seems like a costly business that can't possibly make any money. Tax write-off if anything. |
Tax returns here. In 2022 only $18k in contributions, a little over a million given out. Down to just 4.5m net worth. Seems like it's gradually drawing down and will be defunct soon, which is to be expected in the event of a split. https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/205176706 |
$0 contributions received in 2020 and 2021. Yeah, it's done. |
Obviously not as they had contributions in 2022 and Angelina/Brad are still contributing. |
I couldn't find financials but the MJP Foundation is active. I agree she probably does what she can but probably has less to work with. She's older and is working on transitioning to other kinds of roles plus directing. https://mjp-foundation.org/?#menu-projects |
Where is the evidence they're still contributing? The measly $18K 2022 contribution, don't think so. |
There's no need for them to close it if they dont want too. It's a small foundation that helps supplement their other ones and donates to other charities. It's no one's business if Brad still wants to contributes. I don't see him paying for MIR, so let him do a good deed here. |
They gave away over 500k in grants/contributions. It's none of your business if they both still decided to contribute their own money. |
They're spending down the foundation's assets over a period of years, went from a high of more than $40m when they were together down to just $4.5m total assets now. No new contributions in recent years, as the tax returns make clear. |
Expect they did indeed have a new contribution in 2022. |
A tiny $18K? And you think that's from one of them? |
I am not sure why you can't read who the new contributor was yourself. |
Sure they've split and would have no reason to share a charitable foundation any longer. If it was worth $4.5million in 2022, is probably worth half that now if it's continued paying out $1 million-ish a year. So whatever small amount is left, if anything, will be divided in the divorce settlement. We know she still has the MJP Foundation. Who knows what, if anything, he's doing. He seems to have lost interest after getting burned with his Make It Right efforts. Noble idea poorly executed. At any rate, they no longer speak so whatever they're doing is of course separate. |
