Where did you absolutely hate?

Interesting. DH and friends golfed there recently for a long weekend and really liked the place. (Friend of a friend has a condo there)

So far enjoyed every place I visited.

Anonymous wrote:Martha’s Vineyard. Crowded, overpriced, snooty. Maybe it is nice if you own a mansion with a private beach. Would never go back

The private beach issue is a PITA. Much prefer Nantucket for this and other reasons.

I absolutely loved India but I went there for work. So, business class on Emirates, 5 star hotels, private driver. We did sightseeing on weekends but had our local team served as tour guides and they curated our restaurants/meals etc. I would not go back on a personal trip though.

I want to go to Naples! Tell me please what did you dislike?

I’d love to visit Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast too

Lived in Naples for almost six years. It's not for everyone, but our family misses it everyday. It's gritty, but just a beautiful chaos. There is a saying about Naples that is roughly translated to, "Stay for a day, you will hate it. Stay for a week, you will love it. Stay for a month and you will never leave."

What did you like about it outside of it being beautiful chaos?

Anonymous wrote:Spain. I’m of Puerto Rican descent so the disdain is pretty deep-seated, but the Spanish are hostile to Americans (even when they speak fluent Spanish, as I do) and generally racist. Overall not a welcoming or warm experience. Just really not enjoyable.

Madrid>Barcelona>Valencia

Your disdain, or theirs?

I love Madrid, don't care for Barcelona or Valencia.

Both, I'm sure.

Huh? This makes no sense. I never thought that about PR and have lived in numerous LATAM countries and speak Spanish.

I do think this about Puerto Rico, have lived in Spain, and speak Spanish. PR is awful.

I hope everyone realizes that this country - any country - doesn't exist for your enjoyment. Puerto Rico, like all places, has history and culture that have nothing to do with *you*. Who cares what you think?

I dont enjoy travelling where the tourists and natives have a huge lifestyle difference. Yes, as a tourist and especially when on business, the poorer the country, the more they wine (even if they are not allowed to drink due to religion) and dine you.

Mexico
All inclusives never ever again. Anywhere in the world. Tried twice yuck
Cruises not for me.
Phoenix
Malta what a waste of time. For a place that exists on tourism no thank you. Endentured slaves working for hotels nope. Hated getting in cabs and getting political tirades. Change your flight plan from Malta pain in the neck they block the airlines websites and Malta airport has no offices if one needs help.

I went to Malta 30 years ago and loved it! It wasn't anything like you describe. Sad if it has changed that much.

Cartagena. My God that was a huge disappointment.

I wouldn't take that pp's post seriously; they just sound like a curmudgeon.

Not a fan of Prague, Phoenix, or Molokai. Don't regret going to any of them but will not return
