Now tell us the one about how the Republicans were the ones who wanted to defund the police! |
But PP is right: 1980--Reagan with GWHB as VP 1984--ditto 1988--GHWB 1992--Bill Clinton (and Hillary "two presidents for the price of one!") + Al Gore 1996--ditto 2000--GW Bush 2004--GW Bush 2008--Biden as VP 2012--Biden as VP 2016--Hillary 2020--Biden I thought she must have sat some out as well until I thought about it. In 1976 PP's mom was too young to vote. Although Bill was a new kid on the block when he first ran, GHWB had never held electoral office before 1980 (CIA). Biden was familiar mostly because of Anita Hill and because of saying that Obama was "clean and bright" |
THE TIP OF HIS EAR! Basically, what my sister had when she ripped out her earring in her sleep. Or the divot my son had when his derm carved out a lump on his arm or a couple of suspicious moles on his torso. (Sanjay Gupta did suggest there could be more medical impact than a ripped earlobe, because of exposure to the force of the bullet going by--like how you don't need to be injured on the outside by an IED and still experience internal damage to organs including the brain--but if there is nobody is talking about it and it would look like the usual calling Pelosi Nikki Haley) Trump's "I took a bullet" is a big deal only because of what it COULD have done, but didn't. |
I don’t think I’ve ever appreciated pantsuits as much as I do now. Looking good Mrs. Future president!

Not only that, primaries are subject to state laws. Considering the GOP anger over pandemic voting changes, what do you think they would do about that? We have developed a system where politics is a duopoly. It is a two party industry including not just the parties, but the financial apparatus, the lobbyists, the gerrymandering, the whole shebang. The way it has evolved, we would have to amend the Constitution and get rid of the electoral college to get rid of the two party system, but that same system will prevent that from happening in our lifetimes unless the country truly does fall apart completely. Like Pepsi and Coke, it turns out that competing with each other and keeping out the rest of the competition makes both of them more powerful. |

They also announced he’s staying in Delaware for the rest of the week |
Biden, who has been isolating with COVID-19, was set to leave his home in Rehoboth, Del., on Monday, but extended his stay until Wednesday after announcing the end of his campaign the night before. |
