how are the other local teams doing? |
I checked tourney machine. I guess Blackwolf still has one team. They did not do so well |
are Next Level 2028 and MadLax 2028 playing? this is one of the top tournaments so I would assume they are. |
NL’s 28s aren’t there. For MadLax, they sent their Supremes national team and they went 0 for 2 today. |
It looks like DCE and MadLax go to national tournaments like NAL, NLF and Naptown and NL focuses on smaller market events? |
NL college recruiting has been better than either DC Express or Madlax for 24. They play very good events in the recruiting years. Madlax, which co-hosts NAL, refuses to allow NL to play. They have also historically black-balled NL from NLF events. |
The two teams DCE played today have combined 6 wins on the entire year. One team was decent, other is outside the top 100. But if DCE played same opponents that either Hawks or Supremes faced today they'd be 0-2. |
The NL 25s, 26s and 27s are there this weekend at Naptown. NL is now running the Alliance Lacrosse League tournament later this summer which I’m guessing is their answer to being blackballed from playing NAL and NLF tournaments by the crazy Madlax owner. |
DCE having more success- finishing 4-1 at Naptown |
those two teams had 6 combined wins at Naptown in just the past two days. other than their losses to DC Express, and playing head to head, they went 6-1. what a miraculous improvement! |
Plus they went 3-2 at NLF and 4-1 at NAL. Not a bad summer so far. |
Certainly better than madlax/supremes. I think DCE is the favorite to be the DMV top team. |
MadLax had 30+ kids on the sidelines today. maybe 20 saw the field, including his own kid, who never comes off and yet is wayyyy too small and of average skill to be playing at that level of competition. In another life he must've run a three card monte stand. |
the worst case of daddy ball I’ve ever witnessed. |
Starting with 21s and 22s DCE had two teams that were in the top 2 or 3 in the US. The DMV may not see that kind of talent on a club team again. While the 21s have not had a huge impact collegiately, look for the 22s to continue to make noise especially the defenders and goalie. |
