They are talking about Joe. Joe got the Grammy. He co-wrote several songs (and produced one or two) with Taylor under the name William Bowery. He'll get those royalties forever.

Taylor is the one quoted as saying their relationship was "not up for discussion." She doesn't seem to feel the same way now, apparently.

So, I would not just blame Joe. They were both adults making their adult decisions. She's making new and different decisions now, but it doesn't mean Joe was the problem.

Joe was notoriously the problem. He was just fine when she was hiding out after the Kanye debacle/reputation and during COVID lockdown. He was not fine when she wanted to go back out on tour, all the publicity, etc. It doesn't make him a bad person, just not the one for her.
