This is going to sound snobby (and in fact it is) but she and Ron strike me as basic, as the kids say. And there's nothing more basic than copying Jackie Kennedy and thinking you are putting your own twist on it, or cosplaying the end of The Little Mermaid for your wedding and thinking it's the height of elegance.

However, this will play well with the public at large, and especially MAGA, who place high value on womens' desirability to men.

she is dressed very cutely. I think she looks pretty. I hate her DH though and most GOP politicians. I had respect for Reagan, Romney, McCain etc. Voted for Obama because of sarah palin. Did not go back.

I really don't get how they're actively poisoning people against Disney, and presenting as Disney super fans. If they want to capture the Disney audience that's been stirred up, they're gonna have to build them a theme park, stat, I don't think a storybook election will fill that hole.

Thanks for the link. I will say she looks so much better with her hair pulled back. It is a shame that her clothes and styling are so obviously derivative. She really has the face and figure for a modern, preppy look. I would love to see her (independent of politics) in a shoulder length style, blown out without all that hairspray. Like you said, basic news anchor/beauty queen without an ounce of subtlety or nuance. I am surprised the bodice is so tight on the mint green and the blue dress; I have to assume it was by her request. She needs a stylist or a new one.

Melanie is a terrible person who is part of a terrible family, but she has actual style - you have to give her that. Dime Store Evita looks like she buys her clothes at a costume shop.
