1. Bullis (3-0, wins vs St James, DeMatha, Ponte Vedra)
2. Prep (3-1, wins vs DeMatha, Gilman, Loyola Blakefield, loss vs St Mary's)
3. SJC (1-2, win vs Boys Latin, losses vs Academy of the New Church, Hill Academy)
4. STA (3-1, wins vs Spalding, St Paul's, Good Counsel, loss vs Severn)
5. Gonzaga (1-1, win vs Landon, loss vs McDonogh)
6. PVI (1-2, win vs SSSA, losses vs Loyola Blakefield, St Mary's)
7. Landon (1-2, win vs Heights, losses vs Severn and Gonzaga)
8. DeMatha (0-3, losses vs Prep, IMG and Bullis)
9. SS/SA (0-3, losses vs Ponte Vedra, Loyola Blakefield, and PVI)
10. Episcopal (0-0)

I'd switch STA and Gonzaga for the 4 and 5 spots.

While DeMatha is 0-3 to start the season, they have played a brutal non-league schedule. I'd put them ahead of Landon.

STA needs a craftier and more coherent offense to move up. It’s amazing that a school with supposedly smart kids plays such an unsophisticated offense. No cuts, no screens, no clever feints just straight ahead. St. Mary’s, on the other hand, plays above their talent by taxing their opponents mentally and physically. If STA played with their brains and bodies it would help them immensely.

St Mary's is the best team in the area, Mad lax DMV rankings exclude programs from Ann Arundel county.

The Washington Post does include Ann Arundel County in its rankings for viewership purposes.

Watched the St. Alban's game. Their offense is fairly ordinary. But its the first game of the year. They can adjust. They just seem to have a very short bench when it comes to players who can make an impact. Spalding's offense was not very impressive either, lots of bad shots. They graduated an awful lot of talent. St. Mary's is very good but they really let Prep get back into that game and Prep didnt look interested until the 3rd. St. Mary's maybe be in the top3 or 5 right now but they can't let Prep back into a game like that. Saw SJC play BL.....SJC defense is not as good as last year and without those d, lsm and d-mids there were clearing issues....offense is running through midfield. Not sure why #4 was not more involved. GZ v Landon was pretty embarrassing will just leave it at that. Bullis v Ponte Verde......I think Ponte Verde got a big wake up call as to what it takes to beat a good team from the DMV. St James v GC.....St. James is pretty good. Their coach is a lacrosse HOFer from JHU and they are recruiting alot. So they will make some strides. IDK what is going on with GC...there are multiple public schools from Howard County and Frederick County that would beat them at this point. Sherwood could probably beat them. Anyways...early in the season....all these teams can either go up or down

John Tucker is the head coach at St James as well as admissions. St James is a small boarding school outside Hagerstown and recently.

He is a phenomenal coach, and has coached at several MIAA schools including Severn, Loyola, and Gilman. He has jumped around a ton in his career.

I don't think anyone from the MAC will come close to them this season.

John Tucker is building at St. James......some of you may laugh....but St. James has some nice facilities and they are expanding. So laugh all you want now. I honestly dont care, SJC alum and booster....but I know who he is......you cant deny he could well build a big program there

and for all you people who dont know....Prep didnt have lacrosse until 1987 and SJC habitually beat the heck out of them until Gib managed to get some real players enrolled.

+1 on the nice facilities at St James. Went there for the PLL indoor championship series a couple weeks ago and the place is amazing. The wife dropped off DD at a birthday party there last weekend and she had nothing but good things to say.
