Someone is selling a vision where more people will use electric bikes for transit. |
No one bikes on that crazy hill |
This plan without question causes it. In fact, it's one of the stated goals and the numbers being used are from DDOT itself. Expanding Connecticut is not being considered so it's kind of silly to pretend that that is the alternate choice. But speaking of mass transit. The biggest mass transit project in the region right now is the purple line. Care to guess where one of the main stops.is located? Connecticut Avenue a mile up the road in Maryland. Not only does this plan decrease pedestrian safety, increase residential traffic, harm small businesses, increase emergency response times, and cost tens of millions of dollars it also benefits nobody and makes it harder to use the purple line. |
You've made up and repeated so many "facts" that are blatantly ridiculous that I don't trust a word out of your keyboard. You are a joke, the least funny kind. And no one respects you. |
Wow, are you having a mental breakdown? This isn't complicated, controversial or even disputed. Is the purple line the biggest mass transit project in the region right now? Is a purple line stop being built on Connecticut? Would people that live along Connecticut Ave use Connecticut Ave to get to the purple line stop on Connecticut Ave? What facts are wrong? Please do share. There's no need to be silent just as there is no need to think closing two lanes of Connecticut Avenue is a good idea just because you enjoy lycra. |
I'm still laughing at your BS about 300 bicyclists in DC and billions of dollars spent on bike lanes. If you said the sky was blue I'd still face check you. Face it, you're a crank. Not even a good one. |
You'll "face check" me really? Ok, I believe you aggro lycra man. Come try me. It'll be the best police report ever. Officer I don't know what to see, this crazy short white guy with a man bun assaulted me because I think eliminating two lanes of Connecticut Ave is a bad idea. I think he hates someone named Nick and is mentally unstable. How many bicyclists use Connecticut Avenue? How many millions is being spent on a plan that nobody wants and harms everyone? |
The Purple Line is ringing the city like the Beltway, and its main goal is connecting parts of Maryland to each other by transit without having to go through D.C. (getting from Bethesda to Silver Spring now by Metro requires riding most of the Red Line). Not sure what bike lanes south of it have to do with Purple Line ridership at all. |
DP but I’m pretty sure “face check” was a typo for “fact check,” since face checks are not a thing and fact checks are. |
I'm sorry your honor, the short middle aged white guy with a man bun and bad taste in music while dressed head to toe in lycra was made to feel inadequate because there were facts they didn't like to hear.
They didn't like the fact that eliminating two lanes of Connecticut Avenue would: Increase congestion Increase traffic on side streets Increase emergency responder response times Harm small businesses Decrease pedestrian safety Decrease access to the beltway Decrease acccess to the purple line Create snow removal difficulties Cost tens of millions of dollars and overall hurt their neighbors both young and old |
Considering they haven't done any "fact checking" and are clearly unhinged it doesn't seem like it's a typo. |
Yeah, fact check. I mean, context? It was clearly about facts. But go off weirdo Nick |
This is priceless. Thank you. ![]() |
If by priceless you mean word salad, then yes. |
Like, laughing at them priceless. |
