I have adopted kids from hard places and sometimes the issues are soul crushing and it’s so difficult. If I told people about them, it could sound like regular kid problems, but they are not. I would never blast my kids’ issues for all to see. I hate that she is doing this to Remy.

The point of Jen’s the post was to let yours kids live a little, have their own agency over their lives. Including this very embarrassing detail absolutely not necessary. He was 18. And asked you immediately not to tell.

This would be typical of a parent who is a narcissist. Often one child is the scapegoat, while another is the Golden Child. Pretty sure that Sydney is the Golden Child and Remy the scapegoat in this house, whether or not Jen is a full blown narcissist. I mean, we've never seen one iota of criticism against Sydney, have we?

Does anyone know what Sydney is up to these days? I follow her on Instagram but she hasn't made a post in a year and a half. I wonder if she has finished College by now... she seems to be the child that is most absent from both of her parents' photos

I saw that too! I figured the animal activists and PETA would come out raging against him giving whiskey to a cat. Who does that!? I guess he's still in the drunk frat boy stage of life.

Whether or not they handle it well is another issue, but whiskey is a very popular drink of choice for 23 old young men, especially in Texas.

Yeah I have my doubts as well about Reddit. Pp’s have said Reddit has shut down threads on Jen in the past.
Also the Reddit thread calls itself Jen Hatmaker snark. There’s a number of us here who aren’t seeking snark but insight and understanding about Jen. We are less malevolent and more confused and concerned.

I would bet the Jen Hatmaker camp is scrambling to get this thread to stop. Who comes on here and posts an additional site? And yeah, this is not snark. It’s damaging information about a truly dishonest person.
