You don’t know Gloria. She is first and foremost a publicity hound. She’s pressing for a congressional hearing so her client gets a book deal of which she will get a cut. To presume that Gloria is some arbiter of truth and justice is incredibly naive.

Um, sure, and risk having her star witness risk perjuring herself, et cetera?

Hey, how about we turn that around and question your notion that Roy Moore is some great arbiter of truth and justice in this matter?

I'm stumped here trying to figure out how you came up with this 'notion'?

so ALLEGEDLY (there's that missing word in 170 pages here) he "sexually assaulted" her, then 25 years later he presided over her divorce hearing--which she agreed to.

What person who was assaulted by someone (in this case a sitting judge) would agree to have their ALLEGED assaulter preside over something as important as a divorce hearing?

Do you not see how frivolous this is?

I think he is a creep--but I really have doubt.s about this woman's story--to me, Gloria Allred is the dealbreaker here. How did she find this woman? Did Beverly seek her out? Why make the statement in NYC instead of in Gadsden? Birmingham? That makes me doubtful.

I do believe he was likely a skirt chaser and a cradle robber (that used to be a popular term in those days). However, so far, that is all that is really substantiated. The then fourteen year old's accusations are the most troubling to me--and, frankly, there does not appear to be a pattern of molestation, and I find that odd. Dating teen-aged girls is troubling, not illegal. And, the three interviewed in the WAPO story all denied that he was aggressive with them physically. Only the then fourteen year old.

There do appear to be holes in the Beverly story. Big ones.

Where is the proof to all of these accusations?

I’d love to see actual proof.

Oh, you effing Russian troll!!

I love this "proof" crap!!

What are you looking for, DNA evidence?

The statute of limitations has long past for a criminal conviction, Natalia.

But when at least 8 women who don't know one another come out in public to say that Roy Moore sexually assaulted them when they were teenagers, well, that's not proof in the legal sense, but that's pretty compelling evidence.

Also, there is a lot more evidence: Moore was banned from a local mall because he was prowling the mall looking for teens to date (this was when he was in his 30s). Others have come forward to complain about his teen-dating habits.

There's plenty of evidence Moore is a predator. He does not deserve a seat in the US Senate.

The manager of the mall in question said Moore was never banned.

You are promoting fake news and therefore the more likely Russian troll.

As a Dem, at this point I say let him stay in the race and let him win.

Seeing as how his own party wants him out, how much do you think he will actually get done?

Just keep hitting him hard until 2020 - his seat will be the most vulnerable in the Senate and all this conspiracy stuff will die down. He will essentially be a lame duck from day 1.

Such as?

Also isn't it possible, and even likely, that this person sought out Gloria Allred because she has been a visible, high-profile (if villified) attorney who has litigated many cases regarding sexual harassment and women's rights?

Can someone with knowledge of the USMA and West Point Prep help me out? Trent Garmon’s CV seems to indicate that he received an appointment to West Point Prep, but did not attend the USMA. Isn’t that rather unusual?

And what is this word salad about “serving as a Cadet by ‘recognition’ into the Corp [sic]”? What does that mean?

Attending the prep school is not a foregone conclusion for getting into and/or attending West Point. Based on how it seems this guy has a few screws loose, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get accepted into West Point.

Yep. Let this despicable theocrat sideshow tie the Senate up in knots and vex McConnell as long as possible. Strange says he isn’t stepping down and Sessions wants to stay on as AG and gut DOJ.

Yea, the entire town start conspiring against Moore 40 years ago when he was placed on the Malls version of a No Fly List.

These women, as 14-16, year old girls, began a mass conspiracy which included telling fellow classmates and family members of the misconduct at that time , so they could disclose in 40 years later.

64,000 question:
Where is that list?

Legalities aside, he sounds like such a sad loser -- hanging out by himself at the mall on weekend nights, and presumably lacking the social skills to date women his own age.

Either he is a pedophile, or he is completely ignorant of how to interact respectfully with 51% of the population. Either makes him unfit to hold public office.

Its easier to get into the prep schools than the academies. They don't take everyone.

Equality. Is t that what you marched for? He is entitled to a presumption of innocence, works for the men and women. Unless you are an angry lib, then equality is reserved just for the women.

Though reading his CV it looks like he spent a year at USMA, maybe dropped out?

two (2) basic trainings, one
prior to my year at the United States Military Academy Prepatory School and one prior to my year at West Point.

Is anyone keeping a running spreadsheet on the evidence? IIUC, so far, its 4 women who accuse groping/attempted rape/school contact, 3 women who say "only romantic dating". about 30 to 40 who say the women told them something about before this year. An unspecified number (not all named?) who say he was banned from the mall, or at least from many shops, had a general reputation, etc, etc. And for physical evidence we have just the yearbook so far?
