It's tough to be a local person thrust onto the national stage. However, Alabama has plenty of lawyers who could handle this skillfully. It is a baffling choice on Moore's part.

It's probably similar to Trump's case, where the only lawyer who would work for him is a third-rate hack with questionable business practices. Remember that guy's rant? "Watch your back, bitch!"

Yes, they could handle this skillfully. Most sensible lawyers, though, do not support someone who does not support the law.

I know a very capable lawyer in Alabama who is conservative--and, believes in the rule of law. Moore defied the law as a state Supreme Court justice. As this lawyer said, you cannot have a judge who does not support the law.

On the other hand, Jones will vote diametrically opposite to the policies that most Alabamians support. He is a good man, however.

Prediction: impeachment of Trump will be an issue. Those idiots are playing right into the hands of the GOP in Alabama on this.

Where is the proof to all of these accusations?

I’d love to see actual proof.

Oh, you effing Russian troll!!

I love this "proof" crap!!

What are you looking for, DNA evidence?

The statute of limitations has long past for a criminal conviction, Natalia.

But when at least 8 women who don't know one another come out in public to say that Roy Moore sexually assaulted them when they were teenagers, well, that's not proof in the legal sense, but that's pretty compelling evidence.

Also, there is a lot more evidence: Moore was banned from a local mall because he was prowling the mall looking for teens to date (this was when he was in his 30s). Others have come forward to complain about his teen-dating habits.

There's plenty of evidence Moore is a predator. He does not deserve a seat in the US Senate.

What proof are you looking for from 40 years ago? Surveillance camera? Audio recording? They told people at the time, who vouch for their stories now. What 30 something guy signs a yearbook for a high school girl?

What's getting creepier is how the growing list of accusers ALL LOOK ALIKE! I guess we all have a type...

Can't find a pic I saw earlier but his wife looked very similar back then as well. Even considering a style of the times, these women strongly resemble each other.

so ALLEGEDLY (there's that missing word in 170 pages here) he "sexually assaulted" her, then 25 years later he presided over her divorce hearing--which she agreed to.

What person who was assaulted by someone (in this case a sitting judge) would agree to have their ALLEGED assaulter preside over something as important as a divorce hearing?

Do you not see how frivolous this is?

Because [alleged] assault F*CKS PEOPLE UP. Something that continues to be overlooked in the 170 pages here.

Why? Trump did not endorse Moore. He endorsed his opponent.

She's pressing Congress for a hearing and wants to have her client give sworn testimony. Wouldn't be doing that if she thought it was fake.

or, she's pressing her chances and calling up as high as she can IOT get a favorable settlement. No chance she wants to go to court.
