liposuction revision surgery specialists in the area?

So I had liposuction done by a prominent plastic surgeon with fancy degrees and affiliations... and nine months later, after a long and painful recovery period, there are all sorts of lumps and dips. The liposuctioned area looks thinner, but now it looks like I have nasty cellulite. I'm really unhappy: I'm not sure if he removed too much fat, or removed it unevenly, or what. I spoke with an LA plastic surgeon who specializes in liposuction revision surgery, and his take, after looking at my pictures, was that my PS here did a crummy job and revision surgery is clearly indicated.

I'm reluctant to fly to LA for revision surgery, but I definitely would not trust my PS here with the job: he's in denial, and keeps insisting that I "look great" and will "keep getting better." (I'd trust him a lot more if he could just say, "yeah, this didn't work out so well, let's think through the options at this point.")

Does anyone know of local plastic surgeons who specialize in liposuction revision? I'd rather stay in this area if I could find someone with a stellar reputation and lots of experience, but my own research hasn't turned anyone up (whereas the LA guy seems to be considered a lipo revision god). I'll definitely fly to LA if that's what it takes to get this fixed, but before I decide for sure I thought it might be worth asking around a bit more....

Given your options, I'd get on a plane.

I bet they do more lipo in LA!

I just want to point out that if you get on a plane for this, do NOT plan to fly home soon afterwards. Plan to stay in LA for two weeks to a month. Blood clots and circulation are a big deal, and it's a five hour flight.

That is not accurate.

I actually have read that is a pretty common side effect. Have you ever seen pics of the celebrities a**Ses from behind in bikinis in those mags...frickin cottage cheese central?!

I am not prone to cellulite so there is no way I would subject myself to lipo. Bootcamp, marathon running, serious weight-lifting, yes! Have you tried any of this on your own to see if it will firm up?

Hey OP. I just wanted to let you know that I am sorry things didn't work out the way you expected. I can imagine it being hard to deal with this reality. Best of luck in fixing everything!

Good luck OP. I don't have any expertise, but I would go to the most qualified person wherever that is. I would try to get at least 3 different opinions.

If you don't mind, may I ask who the doctor is you met with in LA? I am dealing with the same problems and have been looking for a "lipo revision god". Thank you!

Im flying to La in a lil over a week to talk to one about lip and eye revison. I dont think Ill ever trust a surgeon east coast after all this. Its been hell. Dont do anything here go there and look up your choices. I didnt make a final decison yet on who will do it for me.

I did lipo three times- the first two was from a doc in new orleans that I picked since he was featured in a magazine - DUMB- the second was trying to fix things. The final one was much better but not perfect in any way- but it did eliminate the saddle bags- I was a size 2 and up at the waist and then these huge huge bulges out- everything else skinny. I hope you find someone who can help.

OP, I would like to know this too. Please let us know. In the same boat after a terrible job done at Georgetown with a doc who is now a celebrity surgeon in NY, then 2 successful revisions with another prominent surgeon at G'town who sounds suspiciously like yours.
