Who are these surgeons? This is important info.
Personally I'd fly to LA. Am even considering under eye surgery from an "eye god" in LA myself. I'd rather go to him first and avoid visiting him for a revision one day. I will say, I did have a boob job and inquired about lipo and the PS strongly cautioned me against it. Said that bumps are a common complication. He told me to eat less, work out more. He said its a hae idea for someone with an already decent body that can be corrected the natural way. |

Well, the same could be said about your eye surgery and boob job - they're risky with known complications. And thanks for the advice, but the issue was not fixable with diet and exercise as you claim. Like a PP, I did lipo because even when I was thin everywhere (114 lbs and an athlete), I had very dramatic saddlebags that forced me into far larger pants than my waist or hips required. They jutted out past my hips by about 3 inches. I couldn't wear most pants except baggy ones, or any skirt or dress that wasn't A-line. (And even then the fabric would hang off the saddlebags since they were wider than my hipbones.) It was very noticeable and ugly and looked very strange. So while I can't say I necessarily look worse now than I did before, since the major issue (the isolated fat pockets) have been removed, it was done much too aggressively and too close to the skin, resulting in permanent creases, dents, and sagging. I look fine in pants but terrible in a bathing suit or shorts, both of which I avoid like the plague. It is a regular humiliation and it should not have happened that way.
As for LA docs, I have no idea if they're better than here or not. I will say I haven't been impressed with the ones here, including one of the biggest names in Washingtonian Top Docs. And apparently I'm not alone. For the OP or later poster who looked into revisions, please update. |
