I’m happily married. My husband is not some ultra macho guy but he’s also not learning all the lyrics to Swift’s and Beyoncé’s catalog. And we have daughters. Because frankly that is largely something women and gay men do. You can PRETEND this is progressive and “everyone” loves Swift and Beyoncé, blah blah but it’s not true. Their fan bases are women and gay men. Single bachelors going to their concerts with other men acting like fanatics, you’d assume that’s a group of gay/bi men. Sounds to me like a clever way to ask out a very smart woman who is known for appreciating creativity. And it was charming (or "adorable" as Taylor put it) how he told the story.
