Even if it's not mass produced, the presumption is that if regular people eat it then it must be? I wonder if his kids got goldfish sushi made of real goldfish when they were little instead of the stuff we give our kids for a snack. |
Why does Romney hate 7-Elevens? He wants our country to fail. Then he'll buy it on the cheap. |
He hoards up lots of food for the end of the world he probably will not eat unless starving. |
Wow. Some out of context quotes from Romney from way back in April. What’s next? Some postings about how he hates dogs or was the school bully? At least post some current stuff about how he personally insulted every single man, woman and child in Britain or about how he will soon be having a secret meeting with the Elders of Zion in Israel. Don't be so lazy. |
Really? After a whole day of posts about obama faux pas from four years ago, something from April is stale? |
What a bizarre thing to say. I'm not a huge fan of mass produced food with lots of preservatives, but of course you need to be gracious and not question or insut the food that you are offered, whether you are running for office or now. Just eat one, or say you are full and drink the lemonade, for goodness sake! |
Here's the quote:
I am a died-in-the-wool liberal, who wouldn't think of voting for Romney, and who thinks Obama has disappointingly tacked to the center/right. And I could not agree more with Romney. (Yes, he was wrong that they were not mass-produced cookies, but that's beside the point.) I wouldn't eat that crap either, both for health reasons and for taste reasons. Plus, he probably gets offered crap like that 10 times a day on the campaign trail. Is it really necessary to be hypercritical of EVERYTHING a candidate does? Even stuff that has NOTHING to do with his capacity to govern? You really can't find enough real things about which to criticize Romney that fact that he doesn't like cardboard chocolate chip cookies is important? Come on. |
Um.. Isnt it michelle Obama who is soooo concErned about what we are all eating?? Come on |
Ummm, yes. Quite true. The Romney posts are getting quite bad. What is the latest one? Something about his drunken horse's twitter account. |
You mean, the fact that he couldn't just say "I'm ok right now, thank you" and instead made some ridiculously disparaging comment about the food that was offered him doesn't bother you? In my house at least, we teach kids not to say "eww, gross" when they don't like something and to simply politely decline. In spite of all his money, the guy has no class and no manners. Everything about him and his wife exudes an attitude along the lines of "I know I have to temporarily deal with you people so I can get your vote, but hopefully it'll be over quick." There are lots and lots of self-made people out there who are worth far more than he is and don't have one tenth the scorn he feels for regular people. |
Yes, agreed. I don't want to be governed by someone who thinks he can and should opt out of sharing experiences that the majority of Americans have every day (e.g., eating mass-produced cookies). That's the very definition of out of touch. |
