Is men wearing sandals feminine? What about sandals with pants?

Short shorts must be the best for strappy sandals. The male / female combination in fashion is modern. Women wear very male Roman sandals. How about a man in female shorts and Roman sandals? It might be feminine? Kim

My husband would look so strange in boat shoes or loafers. Not his look at all.

DH has always worn these and I think they are the natural "man sandal."

Not ugly.

\Fisherman sandals are hideous on 16 year old female models with perfect legs. IMO

Honestly though, who cares- if a guy wants to wear them its likely they aren't bringing the rest of his style down- it probably matches and its likely comfortable.

Sandals are definitely more common in other countries for men, with different fashion aesthetic. Simple leather flip flops tend to be the most common option for men here. I personally don't like boat shoes on men at all

I hate men in sandals

I have taken to notice to men in sandals.

My DH just came home with a $1 clearance Tshirt bought at the grocery store featuring George Washington in a party hat and one of the party blower things in his mouth.

This is his new favorite shirt to wear out and about. Sandals are the least of his fashion concerns.

BUT, I love him and he can wear whatever he wants

I allow him the sandals but only ones with a kitten heel and a diamante strap. He's a fox!

I would honestly have to say - this topic has never crossed my mind!

I have a pair of these and others. What's the issue and who needs permission?

My husband wears these, too. It never occurred to me that I need to "allow" him to wear something. Or vice versa. He's a grown-ass adult and can dress himself.

Read my response above. I don’t dress my husband and he doesn’t dress me. We are both autonomous adults.

Come on. Give OP a break. My husband has zero interest in shopping but insists on looking good. We’ve found a capsule wardrobe for him that works and I replace as needed.

When OP says “allow” she’s likely joking that wives will definitely speak up if something our husbands wear looks bad.

My husband wears flip flops but no other sandals. I don’t like them on men. We’ve never discussed it but luckily been in step on this.
