NP here but some kids have much more defined butts and waists than others. Boys and girls.

But curvy would never be used to describe a boy's figure.

Because girls have estrogen that give them breasts and hips. You don't understand this?

Pear shaped unless she got hooters.

How can you say she is curvy? She’s 8.

So you’re saying she has an hourglass waist with wide hips and boobs at 8 years old? That’s what curvy means

I have a hard time believing this is OP is for real because Children's Place is notorious for clothing that is too wide! If that brand isn't wide enough, your child needs to see a doctor.

This may be true but a doctor does not provide clothes. The child will still need clothes.

What a bunch of a$&holes on this post. The OP was trying to find store suggestions and was trying to use a less offensive word. No need to preach about weight loss or word choice.

My kid is 11 and has been curvy - yes curvy in terms of clothing sizes- for a while. I find that shopping on Amazon in those cheap brands for adult sizes often works - I find they run really small and sometimes petite will help with pants length.

I find the jeans at places like the GAP and Children's Place are too skinny for her body type-both uncomfortable and (in my opinion) not appropriate for an 8 year old. Can anyone recommend a brand that has nice styles for girls who are not heavy just curvy?

My DD likes girl flowy capris on Amazon and loose character/design t shirts.
