What happened at Brearley?

It’s totally within bounds to share data points and question what could have been done differently in the hope it will never happen again. Dalton, for example, did this post a terrible incident with a kid in the early 2000s. A kid is dead who shouldn’t be — it’s okay to wonder how anyone, including the school, might have done better by them, including the paid professionals who missed the warning signs this girl was in trouble.

i don't know why you are putting so much responsibility on the school.

i don't think going to DC Urban Moms would be high on my list if i was a parent whose daughter just died.

Do I have to report you again? Can you try a little harder to help yourself from posts about this specific situation that malign the school?

She seems to need psychiatric help herself. It is really remarkable.

There are always more sides to any story, but I find the lack of feeling of responsibility at some of these schools toward their (in some cases) very young children and their families concerning. You hear all these lectures about community, etc — but we lose one of our own, and it’s just, eh, what can you do?
