But there’s only 1 house for sale in Lyon Village for $3.5M and a handful in Ashton Heights / Lyon Park for $3-3.4M.

What happens?

Once AI causes mass layoffs, the tech bros won't need to pay $3.5 million for a house. There will be mass dislocation from this area, and they can pick up that house for a nice discount.

IKR, it's a nice, convenient neighborhood, and a house is adequate size and condition. It has a very good workable floor plan for a family of 4, even a bedroom on the main floor. It's in good enough condition to move in without having to renovate right away, and renovate gradually while living there (like bathroom by bathroom, basement, etc). IDK where people get this idea that starter homes must be new construction mcMansions or fully remodeled 3k sq.ft older homes in premium areas. This is an SFH for a price of a rowhome. of course, it would get sold.

AI won't cause mass layoffs, it might even create more jobs having to police AI use and accuracy of its output. There is already plenty of AI slop causing problems anywhere from tech to legal field. AI won't replace entire teams of workers, it's meant to augment
