Saks closing

I don’t shop there. Too expensive. But I love the pretty building and looking in the window displays when I am driving by. Chevy chase will lose some elegance if they build over this area.

All I remember about Saks 5th is that my original boss at a law firm who was 'personnel manager' talked to me all the time about how she had a personal shopper at Saks. She was apparently a holdover in the 80s from her hey days in the 40s and the firm just kept her on until she probably died in her chair and they wheeled her out underneath a throw blanket like on Mad Men

...but I'm sure she was dressed nice/expensively.

Saks in Tysons is a nightmare- armed guards. I dont go b/c it feels unsafe.
