This is what my doctor recommended too. Estrogen cream.

However, if I drink any of the diet drinks that I love so much - Diet Coke, Crystal Light, etc., there is something in that artificial sweetener that sends my bladder into overdrive and I wind up having to get up to pee several times during the night. This happens even if I have the diet drink earlier in the day. My advice is to switch to water only and see if that helps.

False. It’s the carbonation that irritates the bladder causing you to have to urinate more often. Ask any urology or gynecologist

I disagree. And gyn don’t know all the effects of artificial sweeteners. Please

It's making me crazy (and tired and cranky). 57, and haven't hit the one year mark to officially be in menopause yet. If that's my only symptom (no hot flashes, moodiness or dryness), is HRT still something to do? My gyn offered it, but also said she didn't know if it would help or not

Ask for Mirabegron or vibegron. There is no reason to suffer like this. HRT didn’t help me with frequent urination.

I usually only get up to pee once, maybe twice, per night, but I wake up MANY times, like every hour. It is SO FRUSTRATING.

It's the carbonation!!! I have the same problem when I drink la croix. Apparently the ingredient that carbonates it, also can irritate the bladder, and cause the sensation that you need to pee even if your bladder isn't very full
