You are probbaly not waking to pee, you are just waking because of hormones, Then you feel the urge to pee.
In peri and meno this is super common. Have to handle the sleep issue |
|
how old are you, OP and do you have type 2?
|
47 AND no my glucose is very good. |

If you drink wine before bed, it dehydrates you a little bit and he won’t wake up to go to the bathroom.
lol but true, |
| NP. I usually have to wake up at least once to pee, usually after sleeping for 4-5 hours. However, if I drink any of the diet drinks that I love so much - Diet Coke, Crystal Light, etc., there is something in that artificial sweetener that sends my bladder into overdrive and I wind up having to get up to pee several times during the night. This happens even if I have the diet drink earlier in the day. My advice is to switch to water only and see if that helps. |
Alcohol dehydrates you by making you pee more. |
| For some of us it goes away on hrt. I use systemic hrt (patches and vaginal pill) but others have had help even from vaginal estrogen which is not systemic and localized. No guarantees but I recommend trying it. |
Negative |
False. It’s the carbonation that irritates the bladder causing you to have to urinate more often. Ask any urology or gynecologist |
It happens with non-carbonated drinks as well. |
Bizarre response to something you can look up anywhere. Ask any drinker if alcohol makes you pee more. Or just google it. |
| If not for type 2, then it is definitely symptom of hormonal imbalance and peri. Try not drinking anything 2 hours before bed and see. |
