| You started this. |
Oh, gotcha. Yes, they asked me to collect anything left on their porch, shovel in the event we get snow, etc. |
| Might require a little extra effort, but you could dig a hole just deep enough for the package to fit in, cover it back up, and them sprinkle some leaves, etc. on the top, and then let them know where it's buried or mark it with something. |
The neighbors do not reply to emails that quickly. That’s why hiding the package and emailing them where won’t work either. Just leave the package outside your house. If you want, place in a brown or trash bag with the daughters name (or neighbors last name). |
LOL. Shovel snow? They don’t ask for much, do they? |
| All you have to say is “tell her to give me sufficient notice or I might not be home! Let me know if you’d rather I leave it back on your step!” This is not hard and some of these responses are insane |
this is hilarious. They’ll never ask you for anything ever again.
|
| Send them your phone.number to give to her. Have her text so you can coordinate a pick up time. This is not rocket surgery. |
Exactly… People can’t think for themselves or outside the box. “Alexa, How do I,…” “Siri, What do I do…” Idiots |
Seriously. I sometimes wonder how the people on DCUM get through their days. |
|
I wouldn’t stress too much over it……
I wouldn’t invest any time or stress about the daughter coming to pick up the package. They should just be grateful that they have a helpful ➕ considerate neighbor to hold their package for safe-keeping.

Wow this is very rude. Maybe your New Year’s resolution should be kindness. And empathy too. -Not the OP |
😃 plus OP may get a great midwinter workout digging the hole in frozen ground … might catch on to local personal trainers … |
Has nothing to do with kindness or empathy. It’s honesty. |
This is the answer. You need to be texting with the daughter. |
