| ND is a tough school to get accepted at. Plenty of other good schools out there. For those interested in a Catholic school with good academics l might look at Holy Cross in Massachusetts. HC is easier to get into and has RD deadline of Jan 15. |
Do you really think this crowd doesn’t know all that? |
| Agree with PP- HC and also Fairfield getting more popular at our schools. |
now go to Princeton page and tell those people Princeton is a tough admit, but try Skidmore |
| ND really seems to prefer some high schools. They're like Dartmouth in that way |
| Sorry to those of you who got disappointing news. My legacy kid was rejected last year and it was such a bummer. |
| Sooo...how did the area Catholic schools fare? |
| Anyone know how many deferred applicants get admitted? It seems like an awful lot are getting deferred on social media. |
| Holy Cross would be excellent choice for kids deferred from ND. |
And Georgetown, no? |
I’m pretty sure in the past it’s ballpark 15% admitted, 15% deferred and 70% rejected in REA. |
| Yes, I think it was 13% admit / 13% defer last year… RD was 7%, with an overall 9% acceptance rate. |
| Deferred |
Did she get accepted?? |
I’m a different poster who was nervous as DD’s local Catholic school told her she’d get in…but they were right! Go Irish! |
