Christmas dishes for thanksgiving dinner?

Sounds lovely to me OP! But only you know if your relatives/guests are the type who want to find things to complain about.

Imho snow covered trees are a lovely winter symbol and nobody should take issue with them in late November.

PS - trees aren’t religious. They are just happy little trees. Ditto for holly, snowmen, and the colors red and green.

PPS - many people have fully decorated their home for Christmas by thanksgiving.

Use it.

Personally, I would start using them at Thanksgiving through January 1.

There's nothing sadder than nice dishes that just sit and are never used. Use them.

But do not even think about using it at Thanksgiving OP. You will confuse and upset your guests.

Maybe if they are suffering from dementia and can't remember what holiday it is, but otherwise I think you're safe.

Pp here, that's a big of an exaggeration but my MIL actually acknowledged she'd never used her wedding China and I convinced her to take it out last Christmas and use it (she was worriedit would be damaged, I carefully hand washed everything). She died unexpectedly last year and had it not been for that Christmas dinner she never would have used it.

Use it. I have a set of China we have never used once.

So many people have lovely things and only use them in "special" occasions or fire "company.,". OP who is more special than your family. My mother used her fine china and silverware every Sunday for dinner.

I wouldn’t use it for Thanksgiving but I wouldn’t judge you if you were kind enough to host me at your house.
I would use it for every meal in Dec though through January 6th.

It’s very pretty but definitely Christmas. Since we rarely entertain for Christmas, I’ve never used it and wondering if it’s too tacky to try it for thanksgiving? I’d love to try it out!

Use it. I know someone who put a tree up on Nov. 1!

That is so wrong.

People already have their Christmas trees up in my neighborhood. Use the dishes!

Some of your guests may find it tacky (I wouldn’t‼️)

So to err on the side of caution - - I wouldn’t use it.
