I don’t your high school lacrosse or coach is a high factor. Influence for sure but think club you play for is more importan.

You don’t have a 2026 or 2027, or you just aren’t dialed into how recruiting works. This isn’t college football with 7/8 coaches are reviewing film and having certain geographic locations on their plate.

Not being on BIC at this moment, 100% rules out certain kids going to certain schools.

It sucks but it’s reality.

I'm struggling with the math here. T20 programs alone take around 200 girls annually, and clearly not all BIC invitees are at that level. Not being invited to an event with 190 attendees can’t possibly rule anything out. By summer, rising juniors will have been seen multiple times and even attended prospect clinics on campus. While there’s likely a strong correlation, coaches definitely don’t rely solely on Deemer Class to let them know who is a good fit for their program.

Don't feed into it. This person was on another thread as well going on and on about how you have to be at BIC to get recruited, get ranked, yada yada. BIC is the best event because it currently attracts the best players, the players are not the best players BECAUSE they go to BIC. My DD plays for a top ten club and recruiting director says VAST majority of interest comes from playing at tournaments. Now I guess BIC could seem more necessary if you're not getting good exposure at tournaments, but it's certainly not end all be all.

The last comment couldn’t be further from the truth. There’s too many tournaments with too many teams for college recruiters to go to. The real hype is that your club program recruiting director wants to keep you beholden to them. College recruiters hate club lacrosse just ask Danowski at Duke. Too much pay to play and daddy ball. College coaches target the players they want to see and they do that through showcases. BIC invites who they consider top flight potential and concentrates them in one place several times a year. College recruiters are interested in individual players not teams. They want to see how they play in an environment where they have to adapt to being on a team of strangers. They look at athleticism, teamwork, Lax IQ, and emotional intelligence. The question is how does this player react to pressure in unfamiliar surroundings. A good performance could lead to an all-star spot, then to an IL eval, and finally stars. All you have to do is match the top 25 commits to IL ratings and attendance at BIC. It objectively speaks for itself. Does it mean all is lost if a player doesn’t get an invite? No its just a harder row to hoe to get noticed.

BIC and IL are the most impartial view of a player the college coaches can get. If it wasn’t no one would care about star ratings. Deemer runs a great operation. Other shoe cases have been very disappointing in terms of quality and organization. BIC is consistently attended by head coaches and off/def coordinators not the assistant to the assistant ball boy.

The most important factors in getting into a top flight program
1. Strong academics at a high school with some level of rigor
2. Strong high school lacrosse with a coach with a solid reputation
3. Not a behavioral risk
4. High Lax IQ and Emotional IQ

Strong academics? Every kid has a 4.0 now.

Most did not use SAT score because it wasn’t a strong score.

In hindsight, academics are such an overrated factor in recruiting, if you’re talented enough, they don’t care. If you are a good not great player, your in same group as all the rest of the kids.

High SAT score with the high grades (don’t need AP though) and high talent make the coaches job easy given all else being equal. Coaches want that type of recruit more than the outlier player who has shitty grades, low SAT but insane talent that they have to work through the admissions process… Grades and SAT do matter A LOt!

. That is a lie! JO is overrated and too big to get noticed or on the radar. Do All American, Line UP or the Player Series over JO if you need a second event of do not get in BIC.
