Doesn't explain how utterly unsafe this stupid stunt was. Who puts a phone in a microwave? What in the world were they trying to do? No phone for them til they are 18 they are too stupid to have one. |
of course I asked them… They were too upset and felt badly. They couldn’t answer. I was mostly happy they didn’t get hurt. I picked helping them feel better rather than ravaging them for answers in the moment. We both agreed no more microwave for anything at all. Unprompted. It’s totally bizarre. Who thinks this is going to happen?! |
Thank you. |
Cool. Do you know if the Bluetooth is fixable? |
This is honestly hilarious. Be glad that the battery didn't explode.
If you're lucky, the fault is with the antenna, but, more likely, you need a new motherboard. I don't know if Bluetooth antennae are part of the motherboards. But, yeah, you're looking at a nontrivial repair cost. |
Thank you that was what I was thinking too. I’ll deal with it til ready to replace. Oh my God, the things that went through my head about explosions. Tfg she was ok. |
Or she'll just move on to the next Tiktok challenge. |
Mom, is that you? |
You need to pay more attention to the Tiktok challenges with your child lacking more mature judgement. The parents of the boy who was shot and killed doing Ding Dong Ditch probably also had no idea. |
No, my kids knew better than to trust social media. |
Just shaking my head about these kids. I thought the cinnamon challenge was asinine. |
Shows a lack of respect for other people's possessions. I'd be making her pay for both the phone and microwave. |
It used to be a separate module. Not sure poster's model. https://www.repairsuniverse.com/products/iphone-14-pro-max-bluetooth-module-replacement |
It’s a 13. |
Nope. Maybe an influencer, but definitely a social media sheep https://www.tiktok.com/tag/microwavephonechallenge |
