Agree that she’s probably made a lot of money and it seems like she has a successful beauty business, and obviously the talk show, but how long do we really think that is going to last, she’s playing the long game. Her acting career is likely over for the most part, at some point her beauty business is going to sunset. I admire her success on daytime television, but it’s a pretty volatile sector of the industry and that could really go at any time. It’s probably also a lot of hard work and she might not want to do it for much longer.

I think it totally makes sense to get while the getting is good.

I agree she might be making easy money while she can. But I do think she could have a long acting career if she wants it. She's talented and likeable, and she could get the roles currently going to people like Helen Mirren. Maybe it's because of my age and the shows I choose to watch, but I see lots of older actors doing good work, and I enjoy seeing multiple generations represented. I'm glad the writers and creators of these shows are seeing the value in them. It's smart too because it broadens the target audience.

I know it seems like there’s a lot of actresses at 50 and older who are working, and you can probably rattle off some, but statistically it’s very rare. There are many more speaking parts for men versus women still, and ageism for women is very much there. Way more roles for women under 40 than over. I’m not saying Drew can’t ever do acting, but it would be competitive and there wouldn’t be endless roles to choose from.

Further, doing a limited series or a movie requires months away from home and she still has two pretty young kids. Jennifer Garner I’m sure would prefer acting over capital one commercials but she wants to be there for her kids and not every show or movie films in her backyard in LA. More and more projects are filmed in Canada and other parts of the US. It’s a big commitment. Ads are easy money that don’t take time.

Her kids live with her ex and his wife. They have primary custody and are presumably raising them…and I bet she’s paying a lot of child support.

She films her show in NY to be near her kids.

But if she’s worth $85M, how much more does she really need? Most of us would probably retire if we had $5M (even less). I get that she has a lifestyle to maintain, but how much does that take?

Whoever colors her hair does an amazing job. It always looks great on her show, and that’s not easy once you are 50 and have messed with your hair color for decades.

Agree her hair always looks great.

Interesting.

Drew seems to have a good relationship with her kids. Running a whole talk show would be absorbing. If their family has found that having her ex having primary custody is good for them, then more power to them. She seems to be very active in their lives regardless.

And if so, certainly child support is appropriate, no? I'm sure she could afford it with or without money from a bingo app.

I had to unfollow Mindy Kaling on Insta because, while I like a lot of her work, she was just CONSTANTLY shilling for seemingly any and everything that crossed her desk. Vaguely pathetic and off putting, you make tons of money, do you really need share your laxative?

I love some of those Japanese commercials with Arnold or Tommy Lee Jones. Hilarious stuff!

Pretty sure there was an episode of Friends where we find out Joey did a lipstick commercial in Japan.

I admire both Drew and Katherine Heigl. Heigl got black balled because she was on of the earliest Me Too actresses. That's impressive, in my book. Also, I may one day need Depends. I've got no problem with them.

Yeah. The one I miss is Rose McGowan, mostly cause she was like a twin sister in looks when she was younger. Kinda freaky still to this day when seeing her in her older movies.

I don’t follow her at all but was surprised to recently learn that she has a whole line of kitchen appliances with her name on them. I guess whatever it takes…

Where are you finding this? Google says they share custody of the kids. There’s nowhere I could find that he has primary custody.

Every source I could find as they share and split custody. Can you side a source that says otherwise? This sounds like fake news.

The appliances are actually really cute and decent quality for the price.
