I’m sure she pays a lot of child support. Nonetheless, she was a child Star who has worked steadily for decades and has had some lucrative gigs—including her current talk show and the game show (plus her production company). I mean, how much does a celebrity need to sustain themselves and set up their kids for life?
At some point it does seem crass…particularly when she acts like she’s so down to earth and low maintenance. But I guess she’s accustomed to a celebrity lifestyle and thinks she needs a gazillion dollars just in case. |

I don’t find it that surprising. Agree that she’s probably made a lot of money and it seems like she has a successful beauty business, and obviously the talk show, but how long do we really think that is going to last, she’s playing the long game. Her acting career is likely over for the most part, at some point her beauty business is going to sunset. I admire her success on daytime television, but it’s a pretty volatile sector of the industry and that could really go at any time. It’s probably also a lot of hard work and she might not want to do it for much longer.
I think it totally makes sense to get while the getting is good. |

| They're all doing it now, no shame. Back in the day they'd do this in Japan or India but kept it away from US audiences, now it's everywhere. I had to unfollow Mindy Kaling on Insta because, while I like a lot of her work, she was just CONSTANTLY shilling for seemingly any and everything that crossed her desk. Vaguely pathetic and off putting, you make tons of money, do you really need share your laxative? |
