| There is only one decent house on that street and that is not it! |
| Grossly overpriced. It shouldn’t sell for over $4/$4.2. If you want something high end w/ land in Alexandria, the Clarens estate is the one to buy. I wouldn’t love being on Quaker, but it’s set far enough back that it’s probably a non-issue. |
| Rooms the colors of my grandma’s mints. |

If someone buys this, I volunteer to live in the guest house. 😀

| I don't love the pool so close to the house. I don't love the view of the neighbor's house. At that price point I would expect privacy, to include landscaping installed specifically to block view of neighbors' houses if the parcel permits it. The house is lovely with some details I'm not crazy about, such as the sloped ceiling in the formal living room. No photos of the bathrooms? That likely means they're basic. Love the gardens. That is my favorite part about this house. I'd kill for the gardens (not in real life of course). |
| It's a high crime street. Wouldn't risk it if you have kids. https://gvwire.com/2025/02/21/new-allegation-of-sexual-misconduct-swirls-around-cpac-chair-matt-schlapp/ |
Seems like kids aren’t his type… |
No covenants but lot size and lot coverage regulations prevent a builder from building 6 houses. Builders don't need the land yet. They are picking off the old houses on big lots on King St. Quaker Lane Janney's Land and nearby side streets to easily build two to eight houses. Classic Cottages is tearing down the old parsonage next to the church that was sold to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. And the houses next to it that belong to the Baptist Church will probably go next. |
