Such a nice house and on one of my favorite streets in Alexandria but the asking price of $6.25 seems quite steep. Thoughts on what it will actually sell for? |
| I hate the blue door. |
| They should really change the street name, it screams I'M RICH! |
| It's been on the market a couple months. Is that typical for homes in that price range? |
| That is a nice house! I love the colors and the wallpaper and brown accents. It’s probably worth 6, it’s nice. So many ugly ones out there now. |
Agreed. I'd love to tour it (but not maintain it, not that we could afford to anyway). |
| It’s probably a tear down. Could build 6 houses. |
It is fairly common for this type of home to take awhile to sell. There are only a tiny number of people actively in the market with a $6 million budget. It’s also a very rare price point for the neighborhood, which makes it a harder sale. Most of the neighborhood is $1-2 million homes. This particular street is mostly $2-3.5 million homes. I’d gather most people spending $6 million+ would be looking in places like McLean or Foxhall where homes in this price range are more common. |
| The decor/style is not appealing to me - although it is huge and the pool is great. |
Do you not understand that the decor would not be the same once the new owners move in? |
This is a common issue in homes for sale and it is well known among realtors that it can make a difference in how quickly and if a place sells. But thanks for your comment. |
I agree--at that price, they should have made some updates. Or at the very least, put some money into more neutral staging. |
| Are they selling it with the furniture? A lot of houses in this price range actually have most of it all convey, as the owners will start over in their new house. |
| It’s funny to me that you pay $6.5 mil and your address includes a 1/2. I feel like you should get the full number for that price!! |
| That's one of the ugliest kitchens I've ever seen. |
