That wasn’t Trump. The National Guard was ready to go but the Capital Police under Nancy Pelosi’s direction did not give them authorization. I’m not a fan of Trump, but the absence of the NG that day is not on him.

Have you read the accounts of him sitting there doing absolutely nothing when his top aides were telling him to do something? The man is a heartless sociopath.

The basic question is: would you be ok with your child being like him? I would feel that I completely failed as a parent because I would have raised a child without empathy, morals, decency, compassion, etc. These are my core beliefs. I thought they were table stakes but apparently not for tens of millions of Americans who think this is all a big game.
