Not those PPs, but if someone has left a review for a place they stayed at, they are partially de-anonomyzing (?) themselves by linking to the listing here. I like to leave reviews because they are key to the "system" working. But they show up generally with your first name and city/state listed. That's why I have never linked a place I have stayed at here. |
| I've had good luck searching on bookings . com because you can filter by number & types of beds, bathrooms, location, etc. Then I price compare with those results or going to the desired property website and reserving directly. (even major hotel brands will list rooms but we've discovered some awesome small properties this way too) |
I used that site and it gave me pages of listings of hotels that won’t allow 5 in one room/suite. -OP |
| also "air-bnb" is the kleenex of short term rentals. You absolutely don't have to use air-bnb to find a good short term rental in London or any other major city. |
NP here. We have stayed at the Residence Inn as well. Could be just what you are looking for, OP. |
Sorry - forgot to include we had a good experience with https://www.ivylettings.com/ in London |
No. Not with 5 people. But it is a very large hotel, and there are a lot of room options. |
Go with a hotel. |
Missing the nuance - if it was a simple 2 person party, I'd agree but 5 implies 2+ rooms and short term rentals are often far superior with this grouping. |
Thank you! I looked it up and there seemed to be lots of reviews mentioning issues with air conditioning and other maintenance concerns. Will keep in mind, though. Looks like there are also residence inns near London Tower but those weren’t the area we had planned on. -OP |
We stayed there last July and there were no issues with AC. My only real complaint was that the breakfast was really not good. But there’s a tesco next door and a nice breakfast place a block or so away. |

Maybe try the Hard Rock at Marble Arch?
|
It’s not a hard rock any more. It’s a Cumberland or something now. |
| We stayed at the Hilton Tower of London. Our king + sofa bed room ended up being basically a suite with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. It was fantastic! We only had one kid with us, but we could have easily fit 3 kids in the sofa bed room. |
