| Can Forkers come back after our seven month vacation? We’re still employees. |
|
My agency lost 15%, and we are trying to hire previous employees that didn’t take the DRP to avoid training them too much.
Who would want to come back? |
Do you think your ex coworkers are going to welcome you back? |
I don’t see how the VA is going to hire. They have been destroying themselves. |
Not all agencies are the same. NIH was a great place to work until the idiot POTUS came into office. Perfect, no, but still good. If the current admin of idiots hadn't started messing with things. Ugh. |
Agencies won't do this because of the optics but I would have zero worries about what ex-coworkers think. Most of us would be glad to have competent staff back. Of course, everyone I know who took it is either earning more or retired, so the uptake will not be large. |
| Of course there will be a boom, in about 5 years, so we can get back to where we were when this mess started. |
Perhaps. I, for one, would be furious that these folks were hired back at their old salaries/rank after a 7 month vacation. Most folks that left my agency did so in conjunction with a VERA. Some of these people were around for far too long and their departures are welcome (plus there are many more who should hang it up), and a shot to actually move some things forward. |
| What about the recent job report that showed +70k gov hiring? Where? |
