Subaru or BMW?

Don’t know about BMW but Subaru has two very distinct groups: BRZ/WRX car guys, track rats; Forester/Outback outdoorsy, safety, reliability crowd

Apparently at one point Subarus had the highest percent of owners who paid cash for the cars rather than lease or loans.

Just get what you like.

if they weren't dissimilar those houses would have two of the same brand, not one of each.

1) Subaru
2) Lexus

4) Honda
5) Acura
6) Mazda
7) Audi
8) BMW
9) Kia
10) Hyundai
11) Buick
12) Nissan
13) Ford
14) Genesis
15) Volvo
16) Chevrolet
17) Tesla
18) VW
19) Jeep
20) GMC
21) Cadillac
22) Rivian

Not sure why M-Benz is not on the list, but, in the past, Mercedes-Benz has not scored well for reliability.

Based on my experience, Mercedes deserves not to be on this list.

It is funny that Mercedes is not on the list. A couple of diehard Mercedes people in my family but they only lease. Just not worth it to buy due to reliability.

Agree

We have a Subaru Ascent and love it

I love my Subaru and if I were buying luxury I'd get a Lexus. No interest in BMW.

When those WRX guys start making more money they get BMWs.

I feel like these are totally opposite.

Agreed, this is clickbait and not a serious discussion. No one has ever had to decide between these two cars.

I'd pick Subaru over most cars, but definitely over a BMW. Unless I liked lighting money on fire.

We have two Subaru Foresters and a Tesla. I got rid of my Mercedes after multiple trips to the service center for repairs, parts replacements and recalls. I will never purchase another Mercedes. It was absolutely the worst when it came to reliability. We've also owned Audi, Lexus, Infinitis and never had such a poor experience. I need a new car and bought a fully-loaded Subaru Forester two years ago. Unfortunately, the driver's seat hurt my back. I ended up giving it to my son. Now I am looking at BMWs so you are not the only one, OP!

i bought a bmw and its a pain in the ass for service everything is so expensive because it has to be programmed to work with the car. e.g. it cost me $700 for a new battery because i had to take it in and have the service team program it to work w/ the battery. Same with any parts its a scam never again. POS
