| I agree there's a lot going on this weekend-- all of the kids weekend sporting events are really short players. |
We’re in a recession? You might want to check on that. |
|
People stopped working on Fridays during Covid. I enjoy logging in at 10am, answer 2 emails, eat, watch tv, nap, then log off at 4:45p on Fridays.
Only SUCKERS work on Fridays, hahahhaaa. |
Yeah I went to the gym and garden center but got a sh@t ton between 8am-11:30am |

A coming long weekend? People
Tacking on an extra day for travel so they can have an extra long vacation? I’m Canadian but is this not a thing? Like we fully expect people to tack on extra days to avoid misery for weekend travel. Also yeah, grads. People needing to move their grad home. Lots of things. |
...or Mondays. |
DH’s paralegal refused to do a 30 minute task for him at 3:30 despite not having a reason (like other work) and not being on PTO. She will not be long for the legal world if working at 3:30 on a Friday is beneath her. Maybe she can go work for one of you. |
Yes, graduations this weekend. GW that I know of....likely others. |
| I had to drive from Bethesda to Staunton, VA today at 8 am and there was zero traffic. So nice but surprising. |
And where is 81 south? |
I was a paralegal and had a weekly meeting every Friday from 2 to 4 pm for a case. It was rough. I was so thrilled the day I gave notice that I was done being a paralegal forever. Sounds like she got into law school or something as she is checked out. |
| Had to take off. Too burnt out as a fed. |
Not PP but I think she’s referring to Virginia Tech. |
I had to take off Wednesday to pick my kid up from college. |

I’ve learned that very few people actually work on Fridays anymore…and it’s only getting worse as the weather gets nicer and the chaos fueled by this administration pushes people to their limits. (Personally, I find the lack of resilience both sad and annoying. After all, these people are being paid to do a job.)
Anyone at your office still schedule and show up for meetings on Fridays? Those are the people who actually work. The ones who adopt fake policies for their teams banning Friday meetings (for quiet hours to “work” and “catch up”) are low hanging fruit when it comes time for RIFs. |
