Woah. The ending. There’s gotta be a season two right?

This was a movie my parents loved. Alan Alda was in it. Carol Burnett too. It came out in the 80s. I remember watching it with then on VHS rental.

Dont know if I can watch the series since I loved the movie.

It can't beat the original. Ever.

Everything - setting, script, cast, music, acting. Great movie. I saw it when it came out and oddly enough about a year ago- still great. This new one cannot fill it's shoes.

Steve Carell‘s character could pass for that. Steve is 62 in real life but is looking pretty good.

The confusing part for me is Anne‘s character. Why do they have her looking so much older. I guess she is supposed to be the old wife left behind for the young girlfriend. But like how old is she supposed to be? My thing is, she’s an attractive woman, and if she would just change and modernize her haircut that would do a lot. It’s just sort of sad that they made her up that way

Tina Faye is still looking like she takes care of herself and is in the game lol

I think that's the point - her hair is truly awful.

She can be morphed into most anything, like on Reno 911, but in this show she's supposed to not be trying with her husband.

but hmm her head shots have almost similar hair. Maybe she needs a (new) stylist

I'm halfway through

Doesn't Tina fey write all these? Why does she pick the name "Kate" for herself so much. She looks more like a Linda

The show is a remake and the character was named Kate in the original.

Linda doesn’t really fit with her generation. Anyone in Gen X knows there were tons of Katherines and Katie’s growing up - it’s a very realistic name for this generation. Linda was much more popular about 15-20 years earlier.

Was waiting for it to get good. I refuse to invest hours into a streaming show hoping it gets better.

It's disappointing given the cast. It's just meh. I expected there to be more laughs. I've made it through 4 episodes and will finish it after I make through all of Hacks which IS funny.

I think she’s an attractive woman. I feel like they just did her a little bit dirty with the hair.

I think she (Anne) is supposed to be a little pathetic so there is more gray area.

"apparently it's a remake" ☠️

I think Tina Fey is a great comedian and comedy writer. I don’t think she is an actor.

Hacks this season is not as good as prior seasons. I’m giving it up.

Pitt was good throughout.

I watched this show with my husband this weekend and we enjoyed all the twists and turns. There were some sincerely hilarious moments in here. The play!! The shed! The guitar!!!

I liked it. I liked it better than the original movie. I think a lot of the lines were funnier than the original. I think the story benefited from being longer. It wasn't perfect but it was an enjoyable, light watch. The music interludes can't be beat.

OmG I haven't seen the original, but every line Kate says hits my gut. is that the original? Or did Tina get in there with some zingers. Like I pay the bills, I manage everything...
