Are you able to see what the acceptance rate for Walter Johnson was?

This is on Naviance. Ask your kid about logging in and you can look at it.

Are you THE bloodbath poster?

We are not in MoCo yet wanted to say that I agree with others that rank probably matters.

Not long ago, I knew of four valedictorians (two public schools and two Catholic schools) attending UMD with a scholarship. UMD awards merit to students who are Ivy level in the hopes they scoop some of them up with free or nearly free tuition.

My oldest kid's school doesn't rank, but they gave out an award to the top 12 students. That's how I know that my kid was between 3 and 12 in their class.

About 4-5 students from the top 12 attended UMD, and #1 and #2 attended UMD.

A student at UMD will have more Ivy level students to hang with than at an Ivy.

Blair reports GPA distribution and includes a separate school report for magnet students.

Where can one find the school report for our high school. My child goes to poolesville high school, I am unable to find the school report online. Is there a special website for this?

Poolesville school profile is here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1s2UB5tc1N2738UTgElCG4CckzbuaC4Qi/view

This will be submitted with college applications. This does not do the kids any favors since the kids in magnet program with 4.0 UW look like the are only in the top 81% of their class. Weighted GPA no better.

Crazy that schools are doing this differently with respect to GPA distributions.

Thank you for providing the school report!

i think counselor usually reached out to all students to update - maybe your councelor forgot to ask.

UMD submits the Naviance/Scattergrams data directly so at our Mcps high school, all UMD data is in Naviance before the surveys even go out.

This is really interesting. It sounds like they are planning on offering study abroad in the fall for those enrolled in Freshman Connection.

I don't think this is the case. Some schools do and some don't report distribution. Grade inflation is so bad there is really no point in reporting grade distribution.
