Family isn't usually "all around" at 3am in a 4,000+ sq ft home.

Don't you fancy people have zoned burglar alarms like my aunt with a house that big? When I'm at her house, I never want to be first downstairs in the AM because you have to disarm it.

Also people have room cameras these days, lol..

Nope. Unless you’re a paranoid nutcase.

Any chancy they have a baby that fell asleep in the car and they didn’t want to wake them up? I guess my theory doesn’t totally work but I sit in my own dire way frequently on weekend afternoons watching Netflix with a sleeping toddler in the back.

I have heard a few nighttime baby car ride stories in my time. Also plausible.

My speculation is that what we have here is an excessively nosy busy body of a neighbor.

If they left the baby in the car when they later returned, shut off the car, and went inside, I suppose. But that seems weird.

Plus they don't have a baby.

I have a friend who made out on his parents driveway and got caught.

Someone on the phone or something or angry or whatever turning the car on and off for the heater. Headlights are automatic.

Same.. If I'm on the phone when I arrive home sometimes I'll just remain in my car (comfy heated seats, privacy, etc).. and continue the conversation.
