I love Frieda! I’ve read almost all of her books - I even enjoyed the Coworker (and everyone seems to hate it…). I can’t find another author quite like her but I’ve read lots of thrillers.
I wouldn’t rate any of these that I’ve listed below 5⭐️ (I’m a harsh critic with a short attention span!) but these are recent reads of mine, I finished them and they entertained me: The Arrangement What Have You Done - Shari Lapena Kill for me, Kill for You What Lies in the Woods the Prediction - Faith Gardner The Next Mrs Wimberly A Familiar Stranger - AR Torre Currently reading The Drowning Woman and am enjoying it so far! |

The best serial killer books are a trilogy by JD Barker - The Fourth Monkey Killer.
They are SO good! |
Just finished this in an afternoon and enjoyed it. |
| I just read Going Zero and liked it a lot. |

One of my recent faves that I couldn’t put down was Gone Tonight by Sarah Pekkanon.
|
| Just finished The Hike by Lucy Clarke - it was really good. Great setting - remote mountain hike in Norway, and good character development between a group of four female friends. Definitely recommend. |

Because of this thread, I bought God of the Woods last night, and I just finished it.
I'm unsure if I enjoyed it. Certainly it was effective in how the loose ends were tied up, but people didn't act realistically, and there were too many timelines & characters that didn't need to be included. In particular, there was one character with a POV chapter or two whose perspective was unnecessary. I was born in the 60s, so I should have identified with the women who were living in the 1970s, but their experiences didn't ring true. But it was well-written and it kept my interest, so there's that. |

I clicked on this thread specifically because I just finished God if the Woods and loved it so much! I’m listening to All the Colors of the Dark. I’m having a hard time getting into it right now but I’m going to stick with it. |
+1 Lisa Jewell. If you like Ruth Ware, you’ll like her books also. |
