When did your kid learn to ride a bike?

3-4 for all 3 kids. They learned on a balance bike so the transition to a regular bike was fairly easy

We got DS bike at 5 no training wheels. He probably could have started much sooner he could balance/ride 2 wheel scooter at 2yr (almost 3).

Not sure how old your kid is op, but if he/she is a toddler, I highly recommend getting a balance bike now. My daughter and her neighbor friend were able to skip training wheels and ride a bike at age 3.

In terms of two-wheels and pedaling, both my 7yo (training wheels) and 4yo (balance bike) within a few days of each other in March 2020.

Kids were 3, almost 4, but I do think it’s fine to take it slow and not rush things if your kid isn’t pushing for it. There is a lot of focus on getting kids to ride early, I think because people are impressed when their children can do things early, but it can be a little scary having a three-year-old who can ride a bike. It depends on your child’s maturity level, but they get going pretty fast and you’ll wanna make sure you’re in a very safe area for riding!

PP - Also we didn't push it, he was very hesitant before that and happy to use training wheels. Now at 10 he's very confident and zooming all over the neighborhood.

8 and 12. Four hours. 1 hour per day four days in a row with someone I hired. So worth the money. This was during the pandemic and I realized OMG they don't know how to ride a bike.

6, 4, and 4. We used this bike for all 3. They'd learned to balance first, then I put the pedal on.
It took a week.

Never. She also hated the balance bike.

Both kids learned at the age of 6. One had just finished Kindergarten and the other has a summer birthday and learned after 1st grade (just before turning 7).
