My question would be to those who left MCE to go to Stars what are your thoughts on this?

I don't know how that would work. I think the rosters for Stars are pretty full. I mean, any club would take 1 or 2 players that make a big difference but not the full team. They might just rebrand as MC Elite/the St. James or something similar.

That is my guess. In the short term the only thing that might change are the uniforms for the mce girls. Can’t see them messing with teams with tournaments starting in June.

Teams and uniforms are not changing this summer. Summer and fall tournaments are booked, none of that is changing. Practice location not changing, STJ wanted access to MCE coaches and now MCE gets access to Kristen Carr and her staff (win win), new league for Middle School and more development opportunities, with communication and billing from STJ. This is a slow and strategic rollout crazy lax parents. People should be jumping for joy not tearing down tenured coaches who were all elite athletes/women lacrosse players. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

not all of the coaches were elite-level women college players. besides that, just because someone was a college player does not automatically make that person a good coach. Also, a lot of the best players in the world struggle to teach/coach because the skillset just came easy to them. 10-1 they fire almost all the coaches within a year. There are two maybe three coaches that will survive and are worth keeping they aren't after the coaches they are after Maryland players and a foothold in MD.

Maybe MC Elite Admin can stop posting here and actually email its players about what is going on.

More or less agree, but to distill: they are after the Maryland $$$ and might grab some talented players/coaches in the process.

I think this was BS to get people worked up. But I could be wrong

I can not do this to my DD for yet another year she will not be staying with this steaming garbage pile any longer if this stays how it is now.

Start looking. Even if this is true the dynamics will not change overnight and the team your DD is on probably won’t change much.

The club has communicated the sale through messages on Team Snap that gets sent out as emails as well. Team reps had meetings with STJ & MCE last week. This is definitely a sale that is working it's way through the process. Not clear if due diligence is ongoing or completed. No clue if the transaction has closed.

Messaging so far is that JR is staying for a couple of years to focus on the teams and STJ will be running financial and operational side.

Lot of rumors. Most interesting is that STJ is looking to build new facilities in North Moco.

is it still fake news?

I don't know this particular post is fake news or not, but a very reliable source informed me weeks ago that a sale of MC Elite is in progress. This was from an insider in the organization. So this very well may be what she was talking about, but without inquiring, I can't confirm.

Not fake news. As the MC owners bask from the $, they need to remember there are a large amount of girls UNHAPPY. So, that's great for the club, but if you think it's going to make a difference in the next 1-2 years, I question it. Still, think this was a all a fat transaction $ and nothing else.
