| I recently retired and did not want to use a full face of make up most days, so I ordered the Jones Road What the Foundation. Unfortunately, it makes my face unbearably greasy! Might as well rub soft butter all over your face... It is the same. Hair sticks to your face, if you touch your face then everything that comes in contact with your fingers becomes greasy, and the shine is blinding. There is very little coverage and there is no sun protection. I was a devoted Bobbi Brown user, but this product is not worth the money. |
Same for me. Not a fan in the end. I had better luck with the Laura Geller more traditional powder-style products. |
| I got it in the shade they matched me to - Bronze. I actually prefer a pinker color. I don’t think it feels like candle - you’re supposed to let your finger rest and melt on the balm and then use it, not cake it on. It is a little sticky. If it were the right shade I’d wear it more but since it’s the wrong one I rarely do. |
| I tried a few of the balms and the foundation - a little of this stuff goes a long way. As others have said it is very sticky and shiny - however as a highlighter I like how it gives a glow that stays for hours and I also use the dusty rose on my lips. Agree that the mascara is awful. |
| Color fades very quickly. This product cost me over $40 and it is basically a pot of sheer lipstick with a somewhat dry texture. I didn't return it but I would not buy it again. |
NP and I have never heard of it either. |
Pp again and I just got this ad after reading this post. It’s not the miracle balm but might be worth a try! https://www.ulta.com/p/halo-glow-blush-beauty-wand-pimprod2038825?sku=2609252&cmpid=P_FB_DK_FY24WK18_BronzeGoddess2BP&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid_social&utm_campaign=conversions_bronze-goddess-2-bp_wk18&fbclid=PAAaaapR-cf6T7M75WS-ZYiRPvltlw-V8q0sUgMqxYDrGmwn3fi4oz5Iqldf8_aem_AbYUNfmSeiSW7YIUHwwRAtL_GhatpQNzhbNMk0EnYlnquRR4Id3EvDYPjK7FmvK7OmdECB2pS-1sP8JANg95A1ei |
| I'm the target audience for MB and I love it. 40+, medium tone skin that's a bit oily. I wear very little makeup, but the MB in Golden Hour is almost always involved. Use less than you think and strictly as a highlighter. I like it most during the winter when I need a bit of extra moisture and brightness. |

I hated it. Hate the texture and the smell.

Yeah I cannot believe there is anyone who likes it, and that's saying something. This has got to be the biggest formula fail on the market. I think they went overdrive in marketing due to this particular product, including influencers starting to address it by saying people aren't "using it correctly." Come on...if you melt a crayon candle at home and spread it on your face, that is what it feels like. It feels thick and tacky, within seconds your hair is stuck to and your face is shining in a weird way. I like some other products in this line, and generally have liked the older Bobbi Brown, but this stuff is uncharacteristic for her. |
| Thank you for this thread. I’ve been getting inundated with ads but nervous to buy without trying it. |
| Ordered and tried very hard to convince myself I liked it because the marketing was so effective and I’ve historically really liked BB products, but it’s a hard no. Don’t remember the color and it’s long ago trash. Sticky and smells weird. Colors either too sheer or too difficult (for me) to blend/build or shimmery. My friend loves it though so if really want to try it I’d suggest you look for the sample bag with mini balms because maybe different colors have a slightly different feel??? |
| Just like vaseline. Yuck. My hair kept sticking to my face. Then, it’s work to get it off your hands. What a mess. |
| It’s OK. I don’t think it sticks to my face. I just feel like there’s not much pigment (I got a mini of “Flushed”). I think I may like it better in the winter when I need more hydration anyway. I will consider getting some more minis on the Black Friday sale. It’s fine for no-makeup makeup days. |
| I hated it and put it aside for a year. I recently tried it again. It is a nice fresh minimal look. But you have to pat it on and pat again with a tissue. |
