Her wannabe Hillary looks, but in a jacket clearly inspired by Dior’s New Look, which is troublesome given the message that it was intended to send then and now. It put women back in corsets after a period in which things had changed for women, put them back in the kitchen or to being ornaments, after four years (in America) of women working outside the home and being people who were able to engage outside the home sphere.

It figures that someone in this “administration” would doll up their unqualified nepotism hire in an outfit that harkens back to the time when they tried to put women back where they had been.

Came across this GQ profile of Melania from April 2016 and just have to laugh at this obvious lie. Does she really think we're so stupid? Just own that you've had extensive work done!

In the Obama west wing they had photos from the WH photographer on rotation in the halls. Idk if that is her office or what but it could be just a continuation of that. I felt like it was mostly for visitors and was a nice touch - sort of personalized it. The place has kind of a shitty office building vibe without them (obvs not the fancy rooms)

This is basically a recreation of replay of all those photos where she is sitting in Daddy’s lap and, in one, gently holding his face her cupped palm while dying the camera.

Except she’s not the First Lady. Ivanka’s job is whatever she decides it is even though she has no relevant experience. In the middle picture on her wall you can see a reflection of the US map of covid infections or deaths from the monitor sitting across. So we have important things that need to be done.

It’s like one long take your daughter to work day. At the G20, she sat in the front row next to Shinzo Abe and her dad. There aren’t any advisers to the leaders in the picture let alone their daughters.

Those photos are so sad. Look how happy, normal and pretty she used to be. At least she eventually sized down on the implants.
