It’s obvious that she deliberately alienated him from the children. Her mother did the exact same thing to her father that she did to Brad. She passed her childhood traumas onto her children.

He simply does not think it was a priority. Even Jon Gosselin isn’t estranged from all of his kids.

Why would he go to an event where in all likelihood he was neither invited nor welcomed?

In addition, if he were to come, the press and paps would go absolutely wild and the attention/rumors his appearance would garner would be speculated upon for weeks. How dumb would that be?

DUMB is not attending or being involved in your kids' actvities and instead focusing your attention on girlfriends and making movies. .

Brad hasn’t been allowed to be a present parent in his children’s lives. He tried to gain joint custody, but Angelina fought every effort he made to be a father to his children. It’s obvious that she deliberately alienated him from the children. Her mother did the exact same thing to her father that she did to Brad. She passed her childhood traumas onto her children.

BS. She couldn't have prevented him from showing up for school programs and other activities. She couldn't forbid him from ever seeing the kids, unless the courts said he couldn't.

That was clearly decades ago. Whole different ball game with the internet. The fact of that play was widely reported on and any school graduation date is on the internet. Add to that that Brad has near limitless resources to hire any one, including a PI to keep tabs on the kids (and from the filings it sounds like they shared responsibility for security personnel). He simply does not think it was a priority. Even Jon Gosselin isn’t estranged from all of his kids.

Why would he go to an event where in all likelihood he was neither invited nor welcomed?

In addition, if he were to come, the press and paps would go absolutely wild and the attention/rumors his appearance would garner would be speculated upon for weeks. How dumb would that be?

DUMB is not attending or being involved in your kids' actvities and instead focusing your attention on girlfriends and making movies. .

DUMB is a rando internet person who purports to know who or what a random celeb is thinking about and or what that celeb is focused on based on tabloid/gossip rag articles. Or to think that it's dumb for a person who makes movies for a living to...work on a film.

Instead of a barrage about parental alienation, Pitt would be better served by indicating ways that he’s been a present and supportive parent. Was he available to the kids in a crisis? Did he attend recitals, graduations, and other ceremonies? Did he do school pickups, doctors appointments, school meetings, and so on? Did he arrange birthday parties and other acknowledgments for the kids. Did he actively parent? Did he even attempt to actively parent? If so, put it out there. If Pitt was consistently a loving supportive parent, there would both be evidence of that, and at least one of his six adult and almost-adult kids would probably be making that known.

I agree with the others who guess that the kids probably won’t directly say anything against Pitt until the younger two are legal adults. If Pitt really wants to develop positive relationships with his kids, I hope he’s at least attempting to do normal parent things that might help him to do so.
