There's not one mention about the true issue, which is his alcoholism. As one of those articles says and what others under the People comment section said, they care. I read that too in multiple articles, along with how much he wanted a daughter when Shiloh was born. No mention of Shiloh’s older sister or anything awesome or even updated about Shiloh since her birth. If the kids can go out of state or out of the country for college and other interests and opportunities, surely, surely Pitt had many opportunities to reach out to at least some of the kids and work to develop positive relationships with them. I guess he’s been too busy “filming”.


At best, Brad was a self-acknowledged alcoholic during the years when he was supposedly an active parent. Maybe he needs to work on making amends.

There’s plenty of evidence out there of him spending time and being a dad to his kids throughout the years. All six of them in groups and one on one. Not hard to find. None of us know anything about his efforts or lack thereof of what he’s said or done towards a relationship with his oldest kids. I will say if he’s made efforts and they consistently act belligerent or smart mouthed or terribly disrespectful towards him, which isn’t a stretch, I wouldn’t blame him if he walked away. Brad hasn’t been allowed to be a present parent in his children’s lives. He tried to gain joint custody, but Angelina fought every effort he made to be a father to his children. It’s obvious that she deliberately alienated him from the children. Her mother did the exact same thing to her father that she did to Brad. She passed her childhood traumas onto her children.

That was clearly decades ago. Whole different ball game with the internet. The fact of that play was widely reported on and any school graduation date is on the internet. Add to that that Brad has near limitless resources to hire any one, including a PI to keep tabs on the kids (and from the filings it sounds like they shared responsibility for security personnel). He simply does not think it was a priority. Even Jon Gosselin isn’t estranged from all of his kids.

Why would he go to an event where in all likelihood he was neither invited nor welcomed?

In addition, if he were to come, the press and paps would go absolutely wild and the attention/rumors his appearance would garner would be speculated upon for weeks. How dumb would that be?

DUMB is not attending or being involved in your kids' actvities and instead focusing your attention on girlfriends and making movies. .
