Why to wear to kids athletic events in summer.

I am trying to figure out what I can wear to my kids soccer games and other athletic events in the summer. I see lots of other moms who wear their bad work out clothes or other crappy shorts and tank top, and frankly, they just don't look so good. The dads get away with athletic wear, but the moms not so much.

So what do you wear if you are going to be outdoors sweating and wearing sunscreen but not actually exercising? I want someone to think, she looks put together and sporty without trying too hard.

I live in an a-line Boden denim skirt, cute tshirts, and sandals. But don't over think this. Be comfortable.

I wear jersey tank and maxi dresses with sandlas and flip flops all summer long. IMO that is more comfy than shorts and a tank.

What summer sports events? If you are really someone you are summering somewhere outside of DC. And a beach coverup will do for regattas.

Op the reason I am wearing my work clothes and a ponytail ( and not giving a rat's ass) is because I was running before coming to the game. H got the kids out the door and I met them after my run. It' Sat morning FFS on a hot sweaty field. The overdone moms look ridiculous.
