Why to wear to kids athletic events in summer.

beware of skirts if you're sitting on bleachers and anyone sits or walks underneath

And in reality, you will look like the mom who doesn't get involved with your children. Sports events are casual, not even dressy casual, but casual. You shouldn't be putting this much thought into it.

+1
I'm not pretending that it's a crisp fall day when it's 100 degrees out. This is me, sweaty at your ridiculous outdoor event.

If you are spending this much time trying to figure out what to wear, then you are trying too hard. And you are judging everyone else (or it is "judgeing.."? ha). Try spending that energy on something of value.

Unless your kid is playing Centre Court at Wimbledon, who cares? Wear something comfortable and a big, fun hat and enjoy!

I wear whatever I got dressed in that day. I would have factored the weather in whether there was a soccer game or not.

OP, who are YOU to think that the other moms look bad? ugh.

Wear whatever you would wear to watch them play soccer in your yard. No one cares what you are wearing; they're watching their kids, not your attempt at a fashion show.

Maybe she needs to "git a man"? Someone I know said this as if everyone knows this is the goal for wearing unusual clothing to events such as this. Where have you all been?

Maybe that's OP's plan.

I see lots of other moms who wear their bad work out clothes or other crappy shorts and tank top, and frankly, they just don't look so good. The dads get away with athletic wear, but the moms not so much.

Um I'm normally wearing my crappy work out clothes because I'm training for my first ultrathon, now being bored with marathons. My long runs are on the weekend and can be as far as 35 miles starting at 4 am. Suck it fat ass.

OP half the people that come to our games are from outlying towns. And even if they were not, I could not care less what anyone here thinks of me. Learn it. Be it. Do it.

Whoa...why all the HATING on the OP? This is the fashion forum and is it so wrong to want to look cute, cool, comfy, casual? C'mon, we all know even at the gym there are some who don't give a damn and wear sloppy sweats and those who choose to lululemon it out. It's a chouce, we all have one. I second the tshirt and maxi dress recommendations.

You're a loser.

Admit it.

Who brags about an ultrathon?

LOL!
