Is it appropriate to let your child kick the seat in front of them on an airplane?

Are there some ages where it is reasonable because of how old the child is, or should you physically be in control of your child at all times?
Anonymous
Only if DH is seating in the seat ahead. Otherwise, please, no.
Anonymous
no, it is never appropriate.

Are you crazy?'!!! Control your ill-mannered brat. People like you will hasten the advent of "no kid" flights.

Do you really need to ask this question?

Are you kidding?

how about if the child seat positions his legs such that they reach the seat in front, and there's nothing you can do about that?
Anonymous
Still no. Distract the LO with toys, a walk, whatever, so that it doesn't happen. Seriously. NEVER OK.

This is why we fly first class -- DS's legs don't reach to the seat in front. Ha ha, I wish. But we do try to get bulkhead seats or I buy the extra legroom for this reason.

Ha, have you tried to get a pillow in coach on a plane lately??

They might kick once before I put my hand on their legs and remind them there's a person feeling that kick and tell them no. Of course it's never appropriate.
