I'm sorry to the haters. I know it's a pet peeve of many, but I do find it helps me to know if others have the same symptoms because sometimes they share...it turned out to be the flu or in my case it was some strange form of allergies.
I rarely get sick in the summer. I am achy, completely exhausted, my chest is congested, but no cough yet, and just running an errand today wore me out. I also bouts of chills. I wish I could stay in bed all day tomorrow, but no such luck. So far my husband and kids are fine. |
| Did you get the flu shot? |
| Yeah, I did, but I was thinking maybe the next variation of flu is starting early? |
Thx. I actually know about that virus because my friend was so ill she ended up in the ER . This is different because so far I have no GI symptoms.
|
| I'm a teacher who works at a camp during the summer, and in the past week have had 2 campers miss days because of strep throat. Any chance you may have that? |
| I think i have what you have except mine comes with a trrrible cough. Wish i knew how long it will last. Going on day 5 of the chest/cough and day 3 of the achy/fever/chills of varying degrees. |
| I have something similar. In addition to the symptoms you mentioned, I'm coughing and short of breath. It's unpleasant. I hope you feel better soon, OP. |

To all of you who are short of brath and coughing, there is a lot of pneumonia going around, you need to get to a dr ASAP!
I personally know 5 people who have had pneumonia in the past month, some adults, some kids. Get it checked out! |
| get checked out for lyme disease too |
| 6:49 again-some people who i know have had it and they described flu like symptoms |
| I'd look into Lyme disease as well. Sadly, the testing is not usually accurate. Strip down and look for the ring rash. |
| My son, my mother and I all got the same thing. No other symptoms except fever and general achiness/weakness. Lasted 2-3 days for all of us. |
| lyme disease was my thought, too |
How long does the rash last? I'm wondering if the rash would fade before it's detected and so we'd be less likely to make the connection of other symptoms to Lyme disease. |
